How it works
01.
Customer starts the take back
Customer initiates the return or trade-in from the retailer website or QR code. Customer provides the initial condition information and is guided to take photos of the returned products to submit the request. Renow’s return UI guides the customer smoothly through the process, which on average takes only a few minutes.
02.
Renow AI verifies the condition and approves the submission
Based on the images and input from customers, Renow’s AI based recommerce engine inspects the product instantly, gives return a grade and approves or declines the return and for trade-in products calculates the quote. Customer will get clear shipping instructions and a shipping label. The engine operates with human oversight in case of unclear cases.
03.
Relisting and disposition
Upon accepting the product Renow rules engine sorts resalable, serviceable and defective products from each other and assigns a correct disposition target. For resellable open box products Renow’s AI will create a disposable product card.

Physical grading
Products that require hands-on grading will be directed to closest grading location for inspection with Renow’s Inspection App.

How it works
01.
Start the inspection
Start the grading from an existing case or from scratch at the warehouse. Our AI fetches correct set of instructions based product image or return line information.
02.
AI-enhanced product grading
Inspector will get clear walk through instructions on what to do during grading. During the inspection, the product, its components and packaging will get grades and a disposition target. Renow provides a set of disposition rules off the shelf but rules can also be extended and modified. We’ll keep track of the audit log and time consumed of each inspection.
03.
Resales and disposition
Once products are graded, they will get an updated location based on inspection rules and the condition. Resold products are automatically listed for sales in selected channel. Our AI will take care of product data creation and management based on standard product identifiers.
04.
Store and ship
Graded products are stored for fulfillment or shipped to their disposition targets. Each product gets a unique identifier to keep track of individual audit log, pictures and other relevant grading information.
05.
Analytics and reports
You’ll receive a monthly report of graded products and their dispositions.
